Privacy Policy
Summary
Billdrop is published by Binary Data Technology (“we”, “us”). Billdrop is an invoicing app that works without an account. The business information, clients, invoices, estimates, expenses, photos and signatures you enter are stored only on your device. We do not run servers that receive your business data, and the app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs.
Information you enter
You may enter your business details, your clients’ names and contact details, line items, prices, payments, expense records, photos, receipts and signatures. This information is saved in the app’s private storage on your device so the app can work. You control it: you can edit or delete it at any time, or delete all data from Settings → Delete all data.
Your clients’ information
When you add a client, you are responsible for having a lawful reason to store and use their contact details for invoicing, and for telling them how you handle their information where the law requires it.
Device permissions
Billdrop asks for permissions only when you use the related feature: Camera (to capture receipts, logos or job photos), Photos (to choose an existing image), Contacts (to import one client you pick), Notifications (for payment reminders you turn on) and Biometrics (for the optional app lock). Biometric data never leaves your device’s secure hardware and is not available to Billdrop.
Sharing
Billdrop never sends anything by itself. When you choose to email, text, WhatsApp, print or share a document, the app hands the PDF or message to the app or service you pick, and that service’s own privacy policy applies. Payment links you add (for example Stripe, PayPal, Venmo or Cash App) are printed on your documents; payments happen directly between your client and that provider.
Subscriptions and Google Play
If you buy a paid plan, Google Play processes the payment under Google’s privacy policy; Billdrop never receives your card details. To unlock your plan, the app asks Google Play which Billdrop subscriptions your Google account holds and stores the plan name, renewal status and Google’s purchase token on your device. This is not sent to Billdrop servers (we do not operate any). A restored backup never carries a subscription — Google Play is checked instead.
Review requests and copies of emails
If you turn on review requests, Billdrop adds the review link you enter (for example your Google Business Profile) to a thank-you message that you choose to send after an invoice is paid; nothing is sent automatically and Billdrop does not contact the review site. If you turn on “Send me a copy of emails”, your own email address is added as a blind copy (BCC) in your email app.
Backups and exports
Backup files and exported summaries (PDF or CSV) you create contain your business data in readable form — exported expense summaries can include receipt photos. Store them somewhere you trust. Anyone with the file can read its contents. Billdrop records only the date you last made a backup, so it can remind you.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your name, email, location, contacts, device identifiers, usage analytics or crash reports, and we do not sell or share personal information for advertising. Google Play may process information about your download and purchases under Google’s own privacy policy.
Security
Your data is kept in Billdrop’s private app storage, which Android isolates from other apps. You can add an app lock (fingerprint, face or device PIN), which also hides Billdrop from screenshots and the recent-apps view. Android cloud auto-backup is turned off for Billdrop so your data is not copied to the cloud without you. No method of storage is perfectly secure; protect your phone with a screen lock and keep backup files private.
Children
Billdrop is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country).
Data retention and deletion
Data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. To delete everything, open Settings → Delete all data, or uninstall Billdrop — both remove all invoices, clients, expenses, photos and settings from the phone. We hold no copy on any server, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Backup or export files you saved elsewhere (for example Google Drive or email) are not deleted automatically; delete them there. Your Google Play purchase history is kept by Google under its own policies.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or US state privacy laws such as California’s), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export or object to the use of your personal information. Because Billdrop keeps your data only on your device, you can exercise these rights directly in the app (edit, export via Backup or CSV, or Delete all data). We do not sell or share personal information. If you have a question or request, email us and we will respond within the time the law requires. If optional cloud features are added in future, this policy will be updated before they are offered and they will be opt-in.
Changes and contact
We will update this policy in the app and at our public policy page if our practices change, and show the new “last updated” date. For privacy questions or requests, email binarydatatechnology151@gmail.com or use Settings → Contact support. If you email support, we receive only what you choose to send, plus the app version and Android version included at the bottom of the message, which you can delete.
